SB 606 - An Act amending the act of August 15, 1961 (P.L.987, No.442), known as the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, excluding political subdivisions from the act; authorizing optional prevailing wage ordinances; and making repeals.

SB 607 - An Act amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, providing for a prototypical school facility design clearinghouse.

SB 669 - An Act amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for a special license and license auction to hunt one elk.

SB 670 - An Act amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, further providing for courses of study adapted to age and other factors of pupils; and making an editorial change.

SB 690 - An Act establishing the Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) Tax Credit Program for the stewardship of agricultural lands and riparian corridors; creating opportunities for private investment in best management practices and riparian corridors; establishing a sponsorship program; authorizing the transferability of the tax credits; and imposing powers and duties on the Department of Revenue and the State Conservation Commission.

  • Current Status:  Amended into SB 97, which was signed into law as Act 55 on July 25, 2007

SB 727 - An Act amending the act of May 22, 1933 (P.L.853, No.155), known as The General County Assessment Law, further providing for errors in assessments and refunds.

SB 775 - An Act amending the act of June 3, 1937 (P.L.1333, No.320), known as the Pennsylvania Election Code, providing for elections in the event of catastrophic loss.

SB 863 - An Act amending the act of June 30, 1981 (P.L.128, No.43), known as the Agricultural Area Security Law, providing for proceeds from sales by the Department of Agriculture and for grants for agricultural land conservation assistance; and making a related repeal.

SB 864 - An Act amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, further providing for definitions and for payments on account of pupils enrolled in vocational curriculums.

SB 905 (New Legislation) - An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of stalking.

SB 1047 (New Legislation) – An Act amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, authorizing boards of school directors to establish a program to provide high school diplomas to certain veterans.

SB 1070 (New Legislation) – An Act amending Title 15 (Corporations and Unincorporated Associations) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the payment of fair value of shares.

SB 1605 (New Legislation) - An Act establishing a grant program for municipal fire and emergency services organizations; and providing for grant funding.

SB 1607 (New Legislation) – An Act amending the act of August 9, 1955 (P.L.323, No.130), known as The County Code, providing for a referendum and question when damages are not agreed to; and further providing for county to furnish bond when seeking possession of land.

SPECIAL SESSION

SB 25 – An Act amending the act of November 30, 2004 (P.L.1672, No.213), known as the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards Act, further defining "alternative energy sources" and "Tier II alternative energy source"; and further providing for alternative energy portfolio standards.

  • Current Status: Amended into HB 2200 – Approved by the Governor, October 15, 2008 as Act 129 of 2008

SB 37 – An Act amending the act of November 30, 2004 (P.L.1672, No.213), known as the Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards Act, further providing for the definition of "municipal solid waste."

  • Status: Referred to Senate Special Session Committee on Energy Policies, Nov. 30, 2007

SB 41 – An Act providing subsidies to persons who plant and harvest switch grass to be used exclusively to produce cellulosic ethanol as an alternative motor vehicle fuel; and making an appropriation.

RESOLUTIONS

SR 27 - A Resolution recognizing and honoring Barbaro's life and achievements as an outstanding racehorse and the dedication of his caregivers.

SR 140 - A Resolution designating the month of November 2007 as "Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.
  • Status: Introduced and adopted, June 25, 2007

SR 175 (New Legislation) – A Resolution observing the month of September 2007 as "National Preparedness Month" in Pennsylvania and urging the residents of this Commonwealth to take advantage of nationwide and Statewide initiatives which show individuals how to create emergency kits, make a family emergency plan, become informed about different threats and get involved in preparing their communities for emergencies.

SR 192 (New Legislation) – A Resolution designating the month of November 2007 as "Hydrocephalus Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

  • Adopted October 24, 2007 (49-0)

SR 263 (New Legislation) – A Resolution directing the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to conduct a study relating to the funds collected from the fee from construction or building permits and to report its findings to the General Assembly.

  • Status: Adopted, April 29, 2008; Transmitted as directed, April 30, 2008

SR 340 - A Resolution designating the month of November 2008 as "Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

  • Current Status: Adopted, September 22, 2008

SR 346 - A Resolution recognizing July 2008 as "Take a Swing Against Breast Cancer Month" in Pennsylvania and expressing support for this worthy campaign of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers and the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition.

  • Current Status: Adopted, June 27, 2008
SR 356 - A Resolution congratulating the York County Economic Development Corporation for 50 years of community service.
