For November’s episode of “The Mike Waugh Report” I visited Central Market in York City, which is the proposed site for a Shared Kitchen Incubator.

October 9, 2008 - Winifred McGee, the Executive Director of the Lebanon County Penn State Cooperative Extension and Larry Grunden, Senior Food Industry Specialist with PennTAP, have together done extensive research on the shared kitchen incubator concept.

Alan Cotich with NutriCore Northeast, Inc., an organization based out of York, is working together with the York County Economic Development Corporation (YCEDC) to bring a shared kitchen incubator to the community.
|
In the background is Mezzogiorno, a small bistro inside Central Market. It is a prime example of what supporters of shared kitchens would like to see happen with other entrepreneurs – the owners have successfully grown their business to the point of planning for a move to a stand-alone location.
