Together Rep. Eugene DePasquale and I held a press conference to recognize November as Hydrocephalus Awareness Month in Pennsylvania.  We were joined by Rick and Ashley Mantheiy, a York couple whose two sons have hydrocephalus, Ashley’s parents, Mary and Larry Homsher.
 

Rep. Eugene DePasquale and I sponsored resolutions in the House (HR 500) and Senate (SR 206) declaring November as Hydrocephalus Awareness Month in Pennsylvania.

Ashley Mantheiy shared her experience as a mother of two sons with hydrocephalus.  Together the boys have endured 17 surgeries so far in their young lives.

Marie Conley, Executive Director of Penn State Hershey Children’s Miracle Network  spoke on the challenges faced by families with children who have hydrocephalus and how the Children's Miracle Network can assist them on their journey.
